2021

Americanas is one of the leaders in retail and e-commerce in Brazil. Founded in 1929 and with the motto “Everything. Anytime. Anywhere,” it’s a strong competitor to Amazon and Mercado Libre in the country and serves all Brazilians with more than 1,700 physical stores and deliveries from purchases made in its online store.

My Role

Some of my main duties at Americanas as a Web Writer on the Strategic Content Team (Americanas, Submarino, Shoptime) were:

 

  • Research and analysis (Web Analytics, SEO, benchmarking)

 

  • Category page architecture and wireframe development

 

  • Copywriting and UX Writing for category pages, products, and special features

 

  • SEO and Inbound content writing for the company’s blogs.

Achievements

During the months I collaborated with Americanas, I had the opportunity to participate in significant launches of category pages for both the B2C and B2B audiences, which brought more than just a simple catalog.

 

Some characteristics of these category pages include:

 

  • Clearer information about what the consumer could find on the page, including the purposes of the products and special payment conditions

 

  • Richer and more informative content, optimized for SEO, increasing the visibility of the pages on Google

 

  • Launch of special landing pages for specific products like PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
